A work from the Origen collection, Ettore explores the deepest roots of power, identity, and the darkness of the human soul. In this piece dedicated to Caligula, the Roman emperor and symbol of decadence and excess, the artist renders his bust in black and white, wrapped in aggressive and chaotic splashes that intensify the emotional charge of the composition.
The disruptive element is the phrase "Sex Violence," handwritten in white with a neon red glow, almost like a scream suspended in time. This symbolic illumination evokes both the provocation and the brutal energy that characterized the emperor.
With a raw, urban, and expressionist aesthetic, Ettore proposes a reflection on the origins of absolute power and its consequences. A work that challenges, disturbs, and engages at the same time.
